Wedding + Sekinchan

I wasn't sure if I should post this up coz it happened more than a year ago but I look pretty in most of the photos. Soooo I decided to just post up as a filler post while I prepare another post hehe ๐Ÿ˜

Plus this was the first trip (and still is) that I've traveled with my in laws'. Even though it was not somewhere very far, but I think it needed to be recorded down on the blog.

Last year on July, SR's cousin, Q (her name is too difficult to spell so I just go by her first name's first later lah) invited the whole family to KL for her wedding. My father in law said the whole family should attend and then the next day we will go on a short family trip. Everyone agreed except for my youngest brother in law who couldn't apply for leave from his work ๐Ÿ˜•

What did I tell you about being pretty? Hahaha~

My date was looking dashing as well ๐Ÿ˜

He was actually busy looking for the way coz we got lost. His wife tho is busy taking selfies hahaha.

We were almost late but thank god we wasn't too late for the wedding ceremony.

Happy to meet up with some friends from the PJ church ๐Ÿ˜Š

Second row (left to right): Jayne, le moi

There are a few other friends but I've forgotten to take pics with them.

The wedding reception was ๐Ÿ‘Œ The food was delicious and it was from Delicious (the restaurant) lol. I basically only drank wine (while there were other beverages) coz this girl here is an alcoholic ๐Ÿ˜‚ This was probably the last time I had alcohol before I got pregnant coz month after the wedding, I found out I was pregnant. Now we all know when Zyon was conceived ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Instead of putting a photo of the couple in the reception hall, which people typically do, they had a drawing of them? Nice touch!

There will be like 10000 pics of myself coz I was feeling good about myself that night ๐Ÿ˜† Hair also on point...which is something I wish my hair is doing now ๐Ÿ˜…

First OOTD on the blog? Maybe I did lah years ago. Can't remember d.

The theme was black and white...or something like that lol.

Dress: H&M
Laced shorts (worn inside): from Taiwan ่ทฏ่พนๆ‘Š (roadside shop)
Platform shoes: Rubi
Choker: Novela
Clutch: VaVoom Bangkok
Gold leaf earrings: H&M (I think)
Watch: Casio

Maybe I should do more OOTDs after this. Then I'll learn how to dress better every day lol.

ๆœฆ่ƒง็พŽ lol

My date was cute af as well so we took lots of photos together...which is super rare coz the dude seldom wanna take photos =.=

See what I mean? So rare of him to take so many pics with me. Looks so happy summore.

He's usually like that in pics with me hahahaha. I guess he finally got tired lah. Of course tired lah. This was after we got home hahahaha.

So yeah, we left the wedding earlier even before the dance floor began coz my father in law wants to sleep d

I need to mention that Sam and Q (oh there's her name on the soap lol)'s wedding door gifts were super thoughtful. They had handmade soap or handmade lip balm available to choose. I chose the soap coz I hardly use lip balm. I've not used it tho. Probably start using when I finish my body wash.

On the second day, we woke up and met up with my in laws while they checked out from their hotel. They returned home in Melaka after our one day trip to Sekinchan.

We wanted bring the family to the famous Village Nasi Lemak but the line was too long. So we ended up going to the shop next door, Hayaki. It is a Kelantanese cuisine restaurant. Apparently it is open for 24 hours.

The food was unexpectedly good. Except that half the veggies beside the nasi kerabu aren't my favorite. So I didn't eat those. But other than that, everything was good. Definitely will go there again if I go KL.

For those who are interested to try out Hayaki (the name sounded more like a Japanese restaurant lol), here's the details:
Hayaki Damansara Uptown

After lunch, we started our journey off to Sekinchan.

Met a cute little buddy on our way

I kept calling the monkey that SR got scared that it'll run into our car hahaha.

I love traveling up towards the north. It feels more "nature"-like than traveling south.

The first thing we did when we reached Sekinchan was to look for a place for lunch. I can't remember how long the journey was but we were quite hungry when we got there.

The restaurant that we went to is recommended by my violin tutor who is from Sekinchan. It is called Jiann Chyi ๅปบๆ——ๆตท้ฒœ้ฅญๅบ—.

First up we have shark porridge

Super yummy. Even though it's like one year pass but I can still remember how smooth the porridge was ๐Ÿ˜‹

Spicy stir fried baby squid

I remembered this being super duper spicy.

Nothing much to talk about vegetables lol

Deep fried shark

My in laws ordered all the sharks coz difficult to find shark dishes in Melaka.

Can't remember what exactly this is but I think it's the assam pedas shark

Another spicy dish which is the spicy stir fried baby prawns. Also spicy AF

Forgot what drink is this d but it quenched our thirst and was pretty tasty. It was fucking hot at that time of our visit I remember. Downing something cold was just heavenly. This is made by the owner of the restaurant btw.

For those who are interested in going to try out this restaurant, below are the details:
Jiann Chyi Restaurant ๅปบๆ——ๆตท้ฒœ้ฅญๅบ—
No. 156, Jalan Bagan Sekinchan, Sekinchan, 45400, Kuala Selangor, Selangor, 45400 Kuala Selangor, Malaysia

We went to the famous Sekinchan beach after lunch. Nearly got lost but thank god for Waze ๐Ÿ˜…

The beach was quite bare...as in no sea water coz it was at low tide when we were there. Not much to look at lah. Summore so hot. We were thinking to leave there asap the moment we got there lol.

Took a family photo at the famous landmark and ran off lolol

There were many places suitable to take OOTDs or for profile pics at the beach area. This might not be a good example coz I was holding so many things. But imagine me without anything. It'll be perfect for FB or instagram lol.

These photos were my profile pic for quite some time hahaha

After leaving the beach, my father in law wanted to leave already. SR, Wen Feng (one of my bil) and I wasn't in a hurry so we went to explore other places in Sekinchan on our own. But it was too hot so we just drove around without going down from our car.

We stopped by this area call ้˜ฟๅ…ฌ็š„ๅฎถไนก (Ah Gong's/Grandpa's Hometown) to get some drinks coz ours ran out. Apparently it's quite a famous place to visit when you go to Sekinchan. There's a shop called ้˜ฟๅฌท็š„ๅบ— (Ah Mah's/Grandma's Shop) in this area which is filled with people. I assume that both these places are must visits in Sekinchan lah. I'm not to sure coz I didn't do any research on Sekinchan prior visiting.

This place is also famous for paddy field sighting but we went at the wrong season. So no paddies in sight ๐Ÿ˜’ I bet during the right season, this place will look gorgeous.

We went exploring around...lemme rephrase that. We TRIED exploring around but everything either needed entry fee (too cheapskate to pay ๐Ÿ˜) or we didn't wanna walk in the sun. In the end we stopped by this super random shaved ice shop by the roadside and had some shaved ice. The shaved ice was not bad but nothing to shout about lah.

Overall I think Sekinchan was not bad lah. We've not explored it well enough to know it better. Maybe next time we will choose a time when it's not that hot to go. Then maybe spend like two days one night there to explore more.

I've not talked about it here (but already spoken about it on my Dayre *here* in between a makeup collection post ๐Ÿ˜…) but SR, me and a bunch of friends are going to Bangkok at the end of the year. Finally I'm flying again after three years. Planning is on the way and I'm super excited about it. It's the first time I'm flying out to another country with a bunch of friends. Well, I did go to Taiwan with Jacy but that was just one friend lah. This time it's like a whole group of friends. Super excited about it. I talk about the planning process of the trip pretty often on Dayre. You guys can check out my Dayre *here* coz I blog there more often then here.

Alright. That's all for today. Recently my blogging schedule is a bit messed up coz Zyon is being extra sticky. But I'm trying my best to stick to my one-post-per-week schedule. I hope same day next week I'll be able to post something up. If not same day, I'm hoping at least something will be up lah.

So thank you for reading and hopefully you guys will check back again next week to find a new post. See you guys then.

Bubbye~
